Cat-We decided at 3 days notice that we should have 2 days away. It was Joes first weekend off in AGES, so we had a look on-line. The hotels in London were too expensive at such short notice, Whitby was booked up. We had a look at York...but kept looking. Then on Thursday night i came up with Blackpool. It was super cheap! So off we went!
Blackpool! The tower was having some work done, but still looked pretty cool. So we set off to find our hotel.
.
We finally found our hotel (Barcelo Blackpool Imperial) and checked in. We had the last available room...it was the backest of back rooms! Top floor, right at the very back. It was lovely although, the view left a lot to be desired...
Joe- What you can't see under the window is a large amount of pigeon poo lining the outside of the window, bless em! I'm pretty sure breathing that in is bad for the lungs (no, i'm very sure) so we had to keep it closed for our stay.
First thing we did is have a drink at the hotel, Bar number 10. We soon wish we hadn't bothered...it was rather expensive. Next stop...Madame Tussauds!
I 'met' Auntie Gok! I had to give him a hug :D
I doubt i have to tell you who these are. It was a great afternoon!
This is one of my faves. :)
The lady that started it all, Madame Marie Tussaud.
She doesn't look the type does she? ;D
My favourite man in the whole world and Russell Brand. What more could i ask for?
So very cute! I watched Sooty when i was a kid. It was an honour to meet him...and Sweep too. :)
Now, some of these are actual postcards that I sent from Blackpool...the others were on the wall at Madame Tussauds.
